The Federal Government has asked the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to sensitise and mobilise beneficiaries of the National Home Grown School Feeding across Bauchi State for enumeration
The State Director of the Agency, Mr. Nuru Yusuf Kobi made this known while addressing his personnel on Friday. Kobi said the staff who spread across the 20
local government areas of the State have been trained to sensitise the residents on the enumeration exercise of the beneficiaries of the National home grown school feeding programme.
Kobi said that the bulk of the work lies on the agency –especially at the local level where aggressive campaign is critical to advance the objectives of the programme, warning that each of them must take responsibility as they are being monitored.

He urged all the LGA offices to be productive and ensure that the National assignment is done and to the best of their ability.

The NOA boss explained that the importance of the programme is anchored on providing authentic data of all beneficiaries of the National home grown school feeding programme which will guide the Federal Government in allocation of resources and future planning that will optimally serve the purpose.
According to him, the enumeration would help the Federal Government to know exactly how many pupils are being fed through this programme, cooks in all participating schools, and other stakeholders.
“The exercise is also meant to know the level of increment in enrolment, sustain it to help alleviate hunger and keep the 441,059 pupils from about 3,399 primary schools across Bauchi State who may be considering dropping out of school to stay back with heavy stomach till at least noon when they will officially dismiss and continue to provide employment to 7,487 vendors” he said.
Nuru Yusuf Kobi added that it is a commendable initiative from the Federal government that needs all stakeholders involved to take it seriously to achieve the core objectives.
The NOA state Director said the Agency is poised to fully engage his sixty three staff and over three thousand War Against Indiscipline (WAI) Brigade volunteers in the State to make Bauchi a reference place to other thirty four states participating from across the country.
