Fire outbreak has engulfed the media directorate of the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme, burning all relevant equipment of the directorate.
Speaking shortly after a sympathy visit, the Senior Special
Assistant to the State Governor on Media, Comrade Muktar Gidado expressedconcern over the level of damage caused by the disaster.Comrade Muktar Gidado who commiserated with the managementand members of the staff of the directorate on behalf of the Press Directorate,Government House Bauchi, pledged to forward the matter to the governor forimmediate action.
“I am here personally to inspect the level of damagecaused by this incident accompanied by the staff of the Press DirectorateGovernment House Bauchi to commiserate with the staff and management of themedia directorate of the BSADP on behalf of His Excellency, the ExecutiveGovernor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed over thisunfortunate incident.
“I have inspected the place and the level of the damageis too much taking into consideration that this place used to be a referencepoint for all media industry. I must admit that this incident has affectedmedia industry in the state.
“I want to inform you that I will report this case toHis Excellency, being a journalist and media friendly governor, I believe hewill assist.
The Governor’s Media Aide appealed to management and membersof the staff directorate to consider the incident as an act of God and prayedAllah to avert the reoccurrence of the disaster.
Responding, the Director, Media Directorate of the BSADP,Alhaji Jafaru Ilelah who expressed gratitude for the visit said all theequipment installed over the years have been affected by the fire disaster.
