FIRS Donates 50,000 Books To Bauchi Govt

Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, has donated 50,000 pieces of 60-leaves exercise book to Bauchi State Government.

The donation was meant to complement the efforts of Bauchi State Government towards improving the standards of education in the state.

Darasu Shehu, State Task Force Controller of the FIRS said that the revenue agency is mindful of the state government efforts in revamping education in the state through the formulation of formidable policies, hence its resolve to come in with the support.

He said that the donation is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility hoping that it will improve learning and teaching in Bauchi public schools.

Receiving the books, Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, SSG Barrister Kassim Ibrahim expressed sincere appreciation of the state government for the laudable contribution of the FIRS towards revamping the educational sector of the state.

The SSG who was represented by the Special Adviser General Services Hashim Yakubu, said that the donation will go a long way in complementing the effort put in place by Governor Bala Abdulkadir’s lead administration to restore the lost glory of the education sector.
