For Failing Promotional Examination, Kwara Student Hangs Self

A 17-year-old student (name withheld) of Offa Grammar School, in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, has hanged himself to death over failure to pass promotional examination.

Okasanmi Ajayi, the police spokesman for Kwara State Police Command confirmed the incident to WikkiTimes via a text message.

It was gathered that operatives of the police command evacuated the remains of the deceased from a tree he had hung himself behind Ariya Garden Hotel, Offa.

According to the police spokeswoman the deceased, hanged himself after he was asked to repeat SS1 due to his poor performance at the promotional examination.

The body of the deceased “was deposited at General Hospital Offa for autopsy and investigations are ongoing over the incident,” Ajayi noted.
