The Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme, BSADP, has dished out 200 tree seedlings to the four campuses of Za’adu Zungur University to help mitigate climate change.
WikkiTimes learnt that each of the campuses, located separately in Jama’are, Gadau, Misau and Bauchi, went home with 50 tree seedlings.
Alhaji Abubakar Jafaru Ilelah, BSADP Programme Manager while presenting the seedlings to the chapter President of the National Union of Bauchi State Students, NUBASS of the benefiting university Comrade Aminu Harsanu Guyaba, said the donation is part of the modest drive of the agency towards mitigating the scorch of climate change in the state.
He called on the leadership of the students to take good care of the trees, adding that the agency is ever ready to donate more seedlings to the university.
Responding, Comrade Guyaba said the seedlings would be planted in the four campuses of the university accordingly.
WikkiTimes recalls that in August 2022, Rotary Club planted about 100 tree seedlings at Dungal Housing Estate, a suburb of the Bauchi metropolis.
