Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has sacked Dr Muhammad Tahar Adam, popularly known as Baba Impossible from his role as Kano State Commissioner for Religious Affairs.
The Governor Ganduje-led Kano State Government confirmed the disengagement of Baba Impossible in a statement issued by Muhammad Garba, Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs on Saturday.
The statement cites insubordination and unguarded utterance as some of the allegations that warranted the dismissal of the Religious Affairs commissioner.
The Statement further alleged that the sacked Commissioner was culpable of running the affairs of his office as personal business and even unilaterally reducing working days for the staff of the ministry, exempting Wednesdays and Fridays.

Besides, the statement added that apart from operating without due consultation, Baba Impossible has not been loyal to the government.
Already, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has sent to Kano State House of Assembly the name of Dr Nazifi Ishaq Bichi of Bayero University, Kano for screening and confirmation ahead of his appointment as a replacement for the sacked Baba Impossible.
Baba Impossible in an interview shortly after his sacking was announced argued that he resigned voluntarily.
He said that he submitted his resignation on Friday, December, 30th 2022, to Secretary to Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji.
“Alhaji Usman Alhaji collected my resignation letter and stamped it. I also went to the office of the Chief of Staff, who is also the Head of Service, and he stamped the letter,’’ Baba Impossible said.
