Gombe Farm Owner Stabbed to Death After Disguising as Thief to Test Guard’s Vigilance

Kabiru Bappah Algus, a middle age guard at Malala village in Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State allegedly stabbed his 50-year-old employer, Alhaji Abubakar Buba Galadima, to death.

Sources revealed that Galadima had on Monday paid an unscheduled visit to his own farm to check if the hired guard was discharging his assignment diligently, but the vigilant guard stabbed him to death, Aminiya, the Hausa version of Daily Trust reports.

Buhari Ahmed, the younger brother to the deceased said late Galadima had a beans farm in the area and hired Algus to look over the produce.

“Our brother left home around 12 am on Monday on a motorcycle and upon reaching the farm, he disguised as a thief, so the guard pounced on him and they wrestled for a while”.

He said the guard used his knife and stabbed him in the chest and he died instantly. “upon realizing his death, he then rushed to us informing us that he had unknowingly stabbed Alhaji”.

Ahmed explained that they rushed to the scene, only to see the body of his late brother Galadima in a pool of blood.

Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the Gombe State Police Command’s Spokesperson confirmed the incident and said the case would be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.
