Gombe state has approved commencement of academic activities at the new campus of the state-owned university based in Dukku.
The campus will host the new faculty of Environmental Sciences with four programmes that include Architecture, Estate Management, Quantity Survey and Building Engineering.
According to Safiyanu Danladi Mairiga, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the governor, approval was also granted for the commencement of recruitment of academic and non-academic staff.

“Gombe Governor approves commencement of academic activities at Dukku Campus of Gombe State University, housing the new Faculty of Environmental Sciences with four programs: Architecture, Estate Management, Quantity Survey and Building Engineering”.
“Governor Inuwa Yahaya equally approves the recruitment of academic and non-academic staff for the take-off of the new faculty at the Dukku campus”, he said.
The governor’s aide assured that the campus has been equipped with necessary facilities for teaching and learning including standard water supply, which is one of the major challenges facing Dukku residents.
“The school has been provided with all the necessary infrastructure and other things needed of it to operate, including things that cover students’ welfare. I want to believe water is a basic necessity that can’t be left out”, said Safiyanu when asked by an X user.
