Gov Bala’s Wife Offsets Medical Bills Of 40-Year-old Jos Amputee

Hajiya Mariam Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the wife of the Bauchi State Governor, has offset the medical bills of a 40-year-old woman whose arms and legs were mutilated.

Hajiya Mariam Bala Abdulkadir said her decision to offset the medical fee followed a video of the woman, name withheld, that went viral showing the horrific condition of the woman in bed at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH.

She said that as a humane human being, she shares the pains and agonies of fellow human beings particularly women, hence her resolved to wave in so as to save the woman.

Hajiya Mariam explained that though the patient is not an indigene of Bauchi State, our religion teaches us to help our neighbours and Plateau is our neighbouring state.

“This is why we are here. We are here to save and protect the interest of the common persons in our society who entrusted us with their mandate.

“I can’t sit comfortably to see our women wailing in pains and sorrow when I have the means to help change the situation,” she said.

Hajiya Mariam Bala Abdulkadir urged patients suffering from all kinds of diabetes to adhere to the doctor’s instructions and specifications to live a healthy life.

The woman, who could not hold back the flood of tears, expressed the deepest appreciation to Hajiya Mariam Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the good gesture toward her plight.

She commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the people-oriented projects he has been exhausting in the state.

She prayed to Almighty Allah to grand Hajiya Mariam Bala Abdulkadir her wishes, absolute protection throughout her life.
