GOVERNOR BALA’S UNCOMMON GESTURE TO PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED

In developed countries, leaders make sure that no one is sidelined from benefiting from the dividends of democracy.

It’s also one of the qualities that makes a leader an outstanding one, being able to be a leader for all, and also a hope restorer for his people.

On 15/09/2020, The executive governor of Bauchi, Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir, showcased a commendable efforts to the physically challenged citizens of Bauchi state, where he presided over the official commencement of the distribution of mobility chairs to ninety people living with disability across Bauchi state, after he assured fairly selection of the beneficiaries for justice and equity, and also assured its judicious distribution to ensure that it reaches the targeted beneficiaries.

The distribution ceremony took place at banquet hall government house Bauchi, where the governor said, he had signed the agreement of the distribution of the mobility chairs with an NGO based in germany, bruder hilfe (social development initiative) during his recent visit to Germany.

Most of those physically challenged individuals, expecially who happen to be from an underprivileged families amongst them, usually live a vulnerable and insignificant life in the society.

The expressions of happiness and gratitude from the beneficiaries was a heart’s soothing sign that the governor’s kind gesture meant a lot to them.

They said themselves that, the distributed mobility chairs are the qualitative ones.

The chairperson of the NGO, Mrs marry bruder, said the distribution of the tricycles was to contribute at reducing the sufferings of the beneficiaries, and NGO is ready to partner with the state government in the areas of health and education.

The governor lastly put smiles on the faces of all the persons living with disabilities across the state, where he expressed his administration’s desire to soon commission an independent agency for the people living with disability for them to be able to access the government’s interventions.
