Governor Fintiri Declares 3 Days Mourning For Two Adamawa Sons

The Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri, has declared a three-day period of mourning in honour of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Ibrahim Lamorde and the late Member representing Ganye in the State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Jauro Musa who both died recently.

A statement by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor says the period of prayer and mourning begins on Monday 27th and concludes on Wednesday 29th of May, 2024.

According to the governor, “The death of these illustrious sons of Adamawa is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all people of the State”.

Governor Fintiri added “We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished anti-corruption crusader and a much-loved Police officer, Ibrahim Lamorde. I also mourn the demise of the late Musa Abdulmalik an accomplished Legislator. I know their loss will be deeply felt throughout the State, and by countless people around the country.”
