Group Demands Ease Of Access To Healthcare Services In ATBUTH

The Bauchi State Chapter of Civil Society Organization Forum has advised the management of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH, Bauchi to ensure improvement in the way and manner they deliver services to the citizens.

The advice was given by the chairman of the organization in Bauchi, Malam Sodangi Gindo when he led other members on a curtsey visit to the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr Yusuf Jibrin in his office.

Malam Gindo said they were in the hospital to channel their complaints to the hospital management to enable them to improve on their service delivery.

The Chairman who outlined some of the difficulties faced by patients in trying to access health care delivery in ATBUTH urged the management to look into the issues with a view to resolving them.

In his response, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr Yusuf Jibrin asked the forum to go around the hospital for observation with a view to identifying the problems for possible solutions.

The CMD commended the forum for the visit and assured them of the readiness of the hospital to go digital in its services.

Dr Jibrin noted that Abubakar Tafawa Balewa teaching hospital is among the six teaching hospitals in the country that would benefit from the new Hospital Digital System introduced by the Federal Government.
