Gunmen who kidnapped three minor in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State have contacted their family, demanding for a N100 million ransom.
The minors whose ages range between three, five to 10 were abducted on Wednesday evening at their residence in Kaduna Estate, Ajaokuta Steel Township Complex.
A family source revealed that the gunmen reached out on Thursday morning and demanded N100 million ransom.

Another source familiar with the incident disclosed that the gun-controlling kidnappers shot sporadically to scare residents away before abducting the children.
Yesterday, William Ayah, the police spokesman of the Kogi State Police Command confirmed the incident, hinting at attempts to rescue the minors unhurt.
Edward Ebuka, Kogi State Commissioner of Police, according to the force spokesman, has established operatives of various police anti-kidnapping units in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters to trail the kidnapped children and bring the perpetrators to book.

The incident came days after gunmen killed three policemen and five vigilantes at Jida-Bassa in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
As a way to curb incessant security challenges in Kogi state, Governor Yahaya Bello ordered the closure of all brothels and banned the use of face masks in public places for proper identification.
