Gunmen Kill 35-Year-Old Plateau Man

Amos Pam,35, a resident of Kwi Village of Riyom Local Government of Plateau State shut death by yet-to-be-identified gunmen while on his way home.

WikkiTimes gathered that he died instantly.

President of Berom Youth Moulder-Association, Solomon Dalyop Mwantiri, during the deceased burial in Kwi, said it is unfortunate that people in the villages are still being witch-hunted and killed helplessly with the government doing nothing.

He bemoaned that the political leaders have failed the citizens, “We have lost confidence in the security personnel, who will always tell us that they will bring the perpetrators to book, but nothing has happened,”

He however urged the people of the community to rise up and secure their land and lives within the ambit of the law, so as not to go into extinction.

Late Pam was killed leaving behind his wife and two children.

Plateau State is one of the North-Central state ravaged by the activities of bandits, ethnoreligious conflicts as well as farmer/herder crises.

Recall that gunmen had in April killed attacked Kanam Local Council of the State killing over 100 residents and dozens were left with injuries. The villages attacked were Kukawa, Gyambawu, Dungur, Kyaram, Yelwa, Dadda, Wanka, Shuwaka, Gwamnadaji and Dadin Kowa.
