Unknown Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed seven persons in Pinua, Wase local government area of Plateau State.
The Guardian reports that many of the inhabitants were injured.
Bazuga Ibrahim, a resident of Pinua who survived the attack, said the gunmen killed three persons on the spot while four others died in the bush.

He said the local population, numbering about 10,000, deserted the community.
Major Ishaku Takwa, Military Information Officer of Operation Safe Haven said there was a reported clash in the area but it was between a vigilante group and bandits.
