Gunmen suspected to be bandits have invaded Takanai Community in Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State and killed at least six locals in the tardy hours of Tuesday.
The locals said the waylaying gunmen invaded the town Tuesday night, despite being a few meters away from a military checkpoint and close to Unguwan Juju, the Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Christopher Musa’s village.
WikkiTimes learnt that the suspected bandits invaded the town from Zango Urban where they opened fire killing four people in one compound and two in another.

In what is feared to be a reprisal attack, the alleged bandits operated for over an hour and left before the arrival of troops that were stationed close to the community.
When contacted by WikkiTimes, Mansir Hassan, the 2IC, Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, said he was yet to get details of the incident but he would find out and report back, but couldn’t as at press time.
WikkiTimes recalled that in the last few months, Southern Kaduna has witnessed a series of communal clashes between farmers and herders with many lives and properties lost during the incidents.
