Unknown gunmen have stroke Girei, the headquarters of Girei local government area of Adamawa State, where they killed one person and banished a former Commissioner for Housing and Urban Planning Babangida Umar Bajabure.
Reports indicated that the gunmen who invaded the community in their numbers ransacked the residence of the former commissioner before they guided the former commissioner to an unknown destination on Tuesday.

The attackers also inflicted gun wounds on some residents who attempted to stop the assailants from accomplishing their mission.
A family member who spoke to WikkiTimes on condition of anonymity said the suspected kidnappers are yet to contact the family.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer said they have gotten the report. According to the PPRO, measures are being taken to track the whereabouts of the victim
