Unknown gunmen have stroke the residence of Plateau State Commissioner for Environment Usman Bamaiyi in Gindiri community of Mangu local government area of the state and abducted his wife and daughter.
In recent days, Gindiri has seen cases of abduction which is hitherto alien to the community. About a fortnight ago, two pastors were abducted at gunpoint in the community.
ASP Ubah Gabriel Plateau State Police Command’s spokesperson confirmed the incident.
He said that police personnel are chasing the heels of the abductors to ensure the safe return of their victims.
