Herds of Cattle Return to Owner After Being Rustled by Zamfara Bandits

Herds of cattle reportedly returned to their owner after they were rustled by rampaging bandits who invaded Baure community, in Kaura Namoda local council, Zamfara State

According to a Twitter post by  Abdul Balarabe, a Zamfara-based journalist, the owner had vowed that his rustled cattle would return.

“Last night, bandits stormed Baure Area near Shiyar Nafi’u in Kaura Namoda LGA of Zamfara, they rustled cattle and moved away with them,” Balarabe said. “When people were sympathizing with the owner this morning, he categorically stated that his cattle can’t be rustled by any idiot, they must return to him.”

“The picture below shows the rustled cattle coming back, even though the owner said they are not complete and the remaining will surely return,” he added.

Similarly, another source, Halima Gachi narrated how another herd of cattle returned to their owner after they were rustled by suspected bandits in Jaji, Kaduna State. 

According to her, after soldiers recovered the herd, the herdsmen were called to identify their livestock.

“Some cattle were rustled in Jaji. They were recovered by the soldiers and people were asked to come and ‘identify’ their cattle,” Gachi commented under Balarabe’s post. “People were wondering how that could be possible. This Ardo merely whistled and one by one his cattle started coming out.”
