A group of suspected hoodlums in Hadeja local government area of Jigawa State have allegedly invaded the residential building of one Umi Garba, a 26-year-old housewife and raped her to death.
The suspects who were still at large, took advantage of the absence of the husband of Umi to carry out the heinous act.
WikkiTimes gathered that gang after taking their turns to have unlawful carnal knowledge of the 26-year-old housewife and left her in cold blood.

ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, Jigawa State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said, “on 01/06/2022 at about 1815hrs, when unknown persons trespassed into the compound of a 26-year-old housewife identified as Ummi Garba at Warwadi Quarters Hadejia, Local Government and used a sharp object to slit her throat.”

He said the victim died on a hospital bed while receiving medical care after she was rushed to the Hadeja General Hospital.
In February last year, Jigawa State Governor Badaru Abubakar signed into law the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act, VAPP providing a death penalty to persons convicted of rape in the state. However, one year after, none of the perpetrators of the reported rapes in Jigawa was made to face the provisions of the VAPP law in the state.
