How Aisha Buhari’s Health Failed While Brutalising Former Aide, Student

Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari reportedly slumped and sustained an injury while joining her security guards to assault Zainab Kassim, her former aide on social media and Aminu Muhammad, a student of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, who jeered her on Twitter.

Aisha, was on November 20, rushed to the Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja after she sustained a fracture on her leg. At the time, what led to the incident was sketchy.

However, fresh facts have surfaced amid social media condemnation that greeted the arrest of Aminu who was whisked away from his school by security operatives. His arrest was linked to a tweet about the first lady

Ja’afar Ja’afar, publisher of Daily Nigerian, in a Twitter post revealed that Aminu was whisked away alongside one Zainab [the former aide] by plain-clothed policemen. According to him, Aisha ordered the arrest through her Aide-de-camp (ADC), Usman Shugaba.

“From my findings, it was not SSS but plain-clothed policemen who arrested & tortured a final-year student @aminullahie and another lady named Zainab Kassim (a former social media aide to First Lady). The operation was engineered and executed by Aisha Buhari’s ADC Usman Shugaba,” Ja’afar tweeted.

Ja’afar added that the victims — Aminullah and Zainab — were allegedly beaten by three of Aisha’s security aides in her presence. However, she decided to join them and that was when she fell down.

“It may sound like a fairy tale, but the following is actually what transpired: the duo was beaten to a pulp in the presence of Mrs Buhari by 3 security aides. While Aminu and Ms Kassim were being beaten, the First Lady felt that they were not beating them well, so joined them. As she attempted to throw a kick, she slipped and fractured her leg.

“While Ms Kassim was released on the condition that she would not speak to the press, the final-year student may face trumped-up charges of defamation. This is sad for democracy,” he said.
