Few days after WikkiTimes had published an investigation that detailed how he dubbed a Bauchi NGO of over two million naira under the pretext of opening a website and linking the NGO with International donor agencies, Dr. Sulaiman Shuaibu Shinkafi had conceded to have deceitfully collected the money from the centre and pledges to pay in Installment.
The investigation which detailed how Dr. Shinkafi impersonated Amnesty International exposed how he collected money from Mallam Kawu Youth Rehabilitation and Orphanage Centre, MKYROC through shady deals.
Dr. Suleiman consistently lied to the Organization that he was the director Amnesty International coordinating the 19 Northern states of Nigeria, a claim Amnesty International debunked.
When WikkiTimes contacted the culprit, he accepted to have dubbed the organization, but offered to pay the money in installments.
Dr Shinkafi requested to send the money through our reporters; a request they turned down and asked him to pay through a third party where our reporters promised to serve as witnesses.
The acclaimed “director” however send a paltry N100,000 naira to the Foundation, but the Proprietor Mallam Abdullahi Mohammed Tahir, rejected the money, saying it was too insignificant for him to start paying the debt he has already accrued.
When contacted on why he rejected the money, Abdullahi Mohammed Tahir said “how will deceitfully collect huge amount of money from us and just return N100,000? How will I start paying who, when I’m indebted to many people?
Mohammed Tahir rejected the money brought in by the third party, saying God was enough to handle the case between Dr Shinkafi and the centre.
The investigations also detailed how Dr. Shinkafi’s accomplice, Adamu Abubakar Sadiq surreptitiously carted away with over N240,000 from the foundation.
