Member representing Katagum Federal Constituency, Umar Abdulkadir Sarki solicited the support of the house committee on power to help address the epileptic power supply that has become the norm in Azare metropolis and its cluster communities in Katagum LGA of Bauchi State.
Hon. Sarki made the plea in an interactive session with Chairman, House Committee on power, Hon. Da’u in Abuja when he lead contingents of Katagum Youth Initiative Forum.
“I will not relent until power supply to Azare is stable,” Sarki reaffirms while addressing press shortly after the meeting.
“We will make sure that no consumer from Azare suffers from estimated billing as we will prevail on JEDCO to provide prepaid metres to at least 50 percent of the houses in Azare.”
The Chairman of the House Committee on power assured the delegation that his committee will intervene to end the epileptic power supply to Azare metropolis.
“Very soon, consistent power supply will be restored to Azare and its neighbouring communities,” he assured.
Comrade Sulaiman Umar expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for being active in ensuring the success of his drive and asked him not to succumb to any pressure until stable electricity supply to Azare is restored.
