In Daylight Incursions, Bandits Kill Locals, Policemen in Kebbi, Zamfara

Yesterday morning, terrorists otherwise known as bandits raided some communities in Kebbi and Zamfara state, killing over 30 locals.

According to Daily Trust, six mobile policemen were among the 36 victims killed at Dan Umaru in Zuru area of Kebbi State.

Residents told the medium that funeral of 27 people had taken place while several others sustained various degrees of injuries. Dozens have also been kidnapped and hundreds of cattle rustled during the attack on neighbouring villages.

Also, in Zamfara State, three people were killed in Shinkafi village. But the police had not released statements about the attacks in the states.

The attacks come a few days after the local terrorists freed some captives from their den. Ado Aleu bandit faction had set free over 70 kidnapped victims including minors from Wanzamai community in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. He killed two of the abductees, while 15 were still held in captivity.

Last week, four out of the remaining 11 girls kidnapped from Federal Government College Birnin Yauri in Kebbi State, regained their freedom two years after.

The girls — Bilha Musa, Faiza Ahmed, Rahma Abdullahi and Hafsa Murtala were released by notorious bandit leader, Dogo Gide.

Atiku Bagudu, the outgoing governor of Kebbi State had vowed to lead a search and rescue mission to the forest, but he failed to keep his words.

A year after, one of the girls gave birth to a baby boy in captivity. This was after the troor kigpin, Dogo Gide, married off one to himself, WikkiTimes had reported.
