Ravaging terrorists lording over Kastina State waylaid motorists on Funtua-Gusau highway nine times in one week, according to a source familiar with the terrain.
“Funtua-Gusau highway is a dead zone, nine attacks on motorists within one week,” Idris4Peace, the source tweeted. “The drugged attackers are young fighters between 15-18 years shouldering heavy weapons.”
The road, WikkiTimes learnt links Kastina to Zamfara, through the latter’s capital.
He, however, urged security agencies to curtail the menace on the road. “All security agencies should do the necessary before they make the road inaccessible”, he added.
Barely two weeks ago, the marauders attacked a security checkpoint in Katsina State, killing a custom officer.
Three months before, they also ambushed some villages in Faskari local council where they killed six locals in coordinated attacks.
