INEC Decries Non-Collection Of Over 60,00 PVCs In Bauchi

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has lamented the non-collection of over 60,000 Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs by newly registered voters in Bauchi State.

Ibrahim Abdullahi, Bauchi State Resident Electoral Commissioner said this in Bauchi on Wednesday.

He said the commission registered 175,177 Bauchi voters in the Continues Voter Registration exercise. However, he said 62,680 PVCs are yet to be collected.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner warned voters about double registration, adding that the commission will not allow such practice to manifest in the voter registers.

He said INEC distributed the amended Electoral Acts and other regulations to all parties in Bauchi State covering 31 State Constituencies, 12 federal Constituencies, and 3 Senatorial districts.
