An official of Kaduna State Government said bandits terrorising the state have kidnapped at least 10 students of Government Secondary School, Awon in Kachia local council.
The official, Samuel Aruwan, told newsman the government had received preliminary reports from security agencies on the kidnapping of 10 students, according to Daily Trust.
Aruwan who is the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, disclosed this earlier today, adding the student were whisked away on Monday.
He said the exact location of the incident was yet to be ascertained, adding that detailed reports were being awaited to clarify whether the incident occurred within the school premises or elsewhere.
The commissioner promised to issue a public statement accordingly when more information is available.
