Bauchi State Government has declared a 24hrs curfew on the Yelwa community, a suburb of the Bauchi metropolis following a communal clash that left one person dead, four others injured and several houses burnt.
This is the second time in less than one month that the government is imposing a curfew on communities around the Bauchi metropolis after that of Gudun Hausa in April this year.

The curfew, according to Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Umar Mamman Sanda takes immediate effect.
He said the curfew remains in effect until further notice.
