Farouk Mustapha, a 2023 Bauchi gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former lawmaker in a statement made available to reporters in Bauchi on Wednesday said his decision to join the PDP will surely yield results for the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the state.
“Today, I formally and officially registered and obtained membership card of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), from my Ward (Nasarawa/Bakin Kasuwa) alongside my pillars; the good supporters across Bauchi State.
“Our aim is to join forces and hands together to move Bauchi State to a prosperous future, and greater heights for the development of our people and society. It is going to be a winning outing for us come next general election inshallah,” the statement read in part.
WikkiTimes recalls that Hon Farouk dumped the APC a few days after Air Vice Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (retired) defeated him at the just concluded governorship primaries of the party. Farouk is an anointed political mentee of Education Minister, Malam Adamu Adamu.
