Gunmen suspected to be bandits this evening, abducted Haruna Abdulmalik, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The DPO was reportedly kidnapped while on patrol along Nasarawa Eggon – Akwanga Road.
Sources revealed that the kidnappers have contacted the family of the abducted senior police officer, demanding N5m ransom
However, efforts to reach the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ramhan Nansel proved abortive at press time.
