No fewer than 10 persons were reportedly killed after a dispute over a piece of farmland erupted in Lafiya, the headquarters of Lamurde local government area of Adamawa State.
An eyewitness who spoke to WikkiTimes on the condition of anonymity said he counted 10 lifeless bodies on the Gmbe-Yola expressway in Lafiya.
“I saw more than 10 corps by the road site and youth with guns, cutlasses and stick trying to block the road,” he said.
He said that they were able to reach Yola with the help of military personnel who escorted them.
SP Sulaiman Ngurore, Police Public Relations Officer Adamawa State Command confirmed the incident to WikkiTimes, adding that they are yet to collate the dead tool from the conflict.
