Hon Yakubu Sanda, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt in his residence on Thursday.
The Speaker was trailed to his house located at Federal Low cost Housing Unit in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State by suspected armed kidnappers who drove in a grey-CRV Jeep.
WikkiTimes learnt that the suspects were repelled by the police personnel on duty at the Speaker’s residence when they attempted to break in.

DSP Alfred Alabo, Spokesperson of Plateau State Police Command confirmed the incident to reporters in a statement, adding that the kidnappers were successfully repelled.
