Just-In: Rilwanu Turbans New Wazirin Bauchi

Barely 24hrs after announcing Bello Kirf’s successor, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu has turbaned Muhammadu Uba Ahmad Kari as the new Wazirin Bauchi.

The coronation of Kari as the 9th Wazirn Bauchi followed the sacking of elder statesman, Bello Kirfi ostensibly facilitated by the Bauchi State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for allegedly disrespecting Governor Bala Mohammed of the state.

Speaking on Friday at his Palace during the coronation, the emir tasked the new Waziri to stand firm in protecting and advancing the interest of the people of the emirate.

He said Waziri is a critical position in the emirate, hence, the need for Kari to rise up to the challenge and deliver the mandates associated with the title.

WikkiTimes recalls that Bello Kirfi an ally of PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was sacked for the second time in about five years. He was first sacked in 2017 by the government of Muhammad Abdullah Abubakar but was reinstalled to the position in 2020 after playing a role in the victory of Governor Bala Mohammed in 2019.
