Just In: Security Personnel Take Over Bauchi Assembly After Failed Hoodlums’ Attempt To Burn Complex

Barely four days after members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly unanimously passed a vote of no confidence on the Speaker, Rt Hon Abubakar Sulaiman and other principal officers of the House, police personnel took over the Complex of the Assembly following the invasion of the premises of the Assembly by unidentified hoodlums Monday morning.

WikkiTimes learned that the invaders are bent to scuttle moves by the lawmakers to formally present a new speaker, prompting police to wave in to prevent chaos and wanton destruction of properties at the Assembly Complex.

The invaders were allegedly on a mission to set up the Assembly on fire.
