Just In: Trouble For Tinubu, Osinbajo, Others As APC Announces Lawan Consensus Candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Nigeria’s Senate Predident, Ahmed Lawan as its consensus candidate for presidential primary election holding tomorrow.

Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman disclosed this during the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Monday, in Abuja.

Other aspirants, according to The Nation would be “allow to contest the primary at the convention holding tomorrow at the Eagle Square, Abuja.”

Nigerians had predicted the incident following the victory of Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), last week.

The contention revolves around a strong aspirant in APC that would confront Atiku in the general election. According to analysed opinions, only a northern candidate can win the challenge for APC.

Meanwhile, other aspirants including Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Kayode Fayemi, David Umahi among others would strive for votes at the convention taking place tomorrow.
