Abdulrahman Adamu, a councilor representing kinkiba ward of Soba Local Goverment in Kaduna State, has been caught while going to supply weapons to terrorists locally ownwn as bandits.
Adamu, WikkiTimes learned, was intercepted on a motorcycle by a police patrol team in Giwa Local Government Area of the state.
The Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mohammed Jalige, in a statement on Friday said the suspect was caught delivering an AK – 47 rifle with six rounds ammunition to the bandits.
Stating that the incident occurred on Monday evening, Jalige said the councilor, however, had confessed to the crime
Meanwhile, Yekini Ayoku, the state’s police commissioner had sued for incisive investigation to fish out other syndicates involved in the act, according to Jalige.
Kaduna is among the north-western states bandits have field days unchallenged. Recenty, the terrorists held a sallah funfair with some villagers in Sabon Birnin Local Government.
During the merry, the terrorists shared several items including pamphlets entitled ‘We Are Not Boko Haram. We Are Ansaru.’
