Kaduna Train Attack: Gov. Buni Ensured No Yobe State Indigen Held Back In The Forest – Negotiator

Malam Tukur Mamu, the negotiator between the Federal Government and attackers of Abuja-Kaduna train victims, has revealed that the Yobe State Governor Mai Mal Buni has played a crucial role in the release of the citizens of the State from captivity.

Mamu noted that the governor vowed that none of its kidnapped indigenes would be held back, leading to the release of seven more victims on Saturday night who were among the 51 victims held.

He commended Governor Buni for the exemplary role he played that led to the freedom of some of the captives, blaming the Federal Government for the delay in the rescue of the captives.

The negotiator stressed that no single Yobe citizen is left in that forest, as governor Buni has been in touch with him throughout, monitoring developments and reaching out to those concerned whenever there was the need to do so.

According to him, “Governor Buni gave lots of support. This is a governor from the Northeast, far from the Northwest where we have this crisis. He told me not to publicize his efforts, but I have to”.
