Kano Commissioner who celebrated Kyari’s death tests positive for Coronavirus

Few weeks after he was sacked as Kano state Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over perceived unguarded utterances on Malam Abba Kyari, late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Engr. Muazu Magaji, has tested positive for Covid-19.

Magaji who disclosed via his twitter handle Thursday, his status confirmed after undergoing a test at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH)  and has since been taken to one of the isolation centres provided by the state government.

He said, “I personally presented myself to the medical personnel for the test which was thoroughly conducted with the result confirming to me that I have contracted the virus. I have been moved to one of the isolation centres to be quarantined. This is exactly what had happened to me.”

recall that Engr. Magaji was instantly relieved of his post after he was reported to have celebrated the death of the former Chief of Statt to President Buhari, who died of coronavirus, a claim disputed by the former Commissioner on the premise that he was grossly misunderstood.
