Kano Police Commences Investigation Over Attack on Journalist

Kano State Police says it has commenced an investigation into the physical assault on a Leadership correspondent, Abdullahi Yakubu by a majority leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa.

Doguwa who is representing Tudunwada/Doguwa Federal constituency, had called a press conference on Monday to clarify a rift between him and the deputy gubernatorial candidate under the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo. It was during the press briefing that the former pounced on the journalist.
