The Kano State Government has ordered the immediate suspension of all activities, including the loading and offloading of goods at the Kofar Mata Eid ground parking space.
Similarly, the government gave a 24-hour ultimatum to all vehicle and business owners to evacuate the location, adding that collection of any dues in the park has been suspended.
A press statement by Kano State Commissioner of Transport, Engr. Muhammad Diggol, on Monday, stated that all activities in the park would resume after the completion of the fencing work that would commence soon.
Diggol categorically emphasised that any collection of fees for whatever kind in the park has been suspended, and anyone found wanting would be dealt with.
In the statement, the commissioner called on the general public to cooperate with the present government in its efforts towards actualising the Kano City Infrastructural Master Plan.
