The member representing Katagum Constituency in the House of Representatives, Umar Abdukadir Sarki has appointed 67 aides to serve as constituency liaison officers in each of the wards under his jurisdiction.
Umar Abdaulkadir Sarki said the aides would assist him in fulfilling his campaign promises to the people.
Speaking with reporters in Azare, Sarki said the aides would serve as his eyes and ears across his constituency, for effective discharge of his legislative and humanitarian works.

“I made serious promises to my people, especially in the areas of meeting their basic needs. These aides will assist me to direct the needed energy towards fulfilling those promises,” he said.

The lawmaker said he will use his personal salaries and allowances to pay settle the aides’ entitlements, saying some aides would receive N10, 000 while others would receive 5000 depending on their levels.
He further pledged to do his best to address all the problems devilling his Constituency which include Youth and women unemployment, educational backwardness as well as Water and power supply problems.
