Kebbi First Lady Sponsors Surgeries for 12 Vulnerable Patients

The Kebbi Governor’s Wife, Hajiya Nafisa Idris, has settled the medical bills of 12 vulnerable patients undergoing different kinds of surgeries at the Federal Medical Centre, Kalgo, in the state capital in Birnin Kebbi.

Hajiya Binta Abdulhamid, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor’s Wife, disclosed in a statement that the gesture was largely carried out with various support and was part of her quest to assist women, especially those suffering from critical ailments.

To this end, Alhaji Mustapha Shallah delivered the donation of N500,000 to the FMC’s Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr Nura Kangiwa.

He said the donation was in fulfilment of the promise to sponsor the surgeries of the patients and prayed for the successful conduct of the surgeries.

The CMD applauded the first lady for the kind gesture while describing it as commendable and worthy of emulation.

One of the patients who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sadiya Mua’zu, expressed happiness and gratitude to the governor’s wife.

She prayed for divine reward and abundant courage and wisdom to impact more positively on the lives of women and children in the state.
