Kidnapped Pantami’s Son Found In Bauchi

Ali Isah Ali, a 14-year-old son of Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isah Ali Ibrahim Pantami who was kidnapped late evening on Thursday in Bauchi was found at a checkpoint in Dambam local government area of Bauchi State.

He was kidnapped shortly after closing from Islamiyya school. His captors whisked him way on a bike.

Ali, who has been under the custody of his mother since the time that the Minister divorce her during his time in Bauchi is a JSS tow student of a private school in Bauchi.

A source told WikkiTimes that, “Ali was kidnapped on Thursday in the evening after closing from school.”

Ali’s mother in a WhatsApp post to the PTA platform of the school confirmed the abduction of the boy.

The WhatsApp message which was posted at 10:29 pm on Thursday reads, “my son was kidnapped, please include him in your prayers.”

Ali was later found at a location along Dambam road.

 However, in a phone conversation on Friday with our reporter, Ali’s mother said that he was found at a checkpoint and was home at the time of the phone conversation.

“He was found at a checkpoint. Some brought him home. He is fine,” she said. 

SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer Bauchi State Command said the incident was not reported to the police, hence he is not aware of the incident.

 He said that he contacted relevant DPOs within the Bauchi metropolis about the incident but was told that the matter was not reported to them.
