President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the withdrawal of the nomination of 25-year-old Imam Kashim Imam as the nominee to chair the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
This is coming barely six days after Imam as Chairman of the Governing Board of the FERMA, alongside other 11 members of the board for a renewable term of four years.
The withdrawal of Imam’s name was contained in a statement signed and issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity on Thursday.
Imam, a first-class graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Brighton University was nominated by President Tinubu to chair the FERMA board on Friday alongside other board members. However, his nomination was greeted by criticism across the country considering his age and the sensitivity of the organization and position to hold.
