The executive Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has announced plans to establish 1,000 housing units for low-income earners in the state.
Inuwa said this at a meeting in Abuja with the Managing Director of the Family Homes Fund (FHF), Mr Femi Adewole.
This comes as the FHF in collaboration with the state governor decides on a date to commence the construction of the housing units.

Adewole confirmed that Gombe State government has fulfilled all requirements for the execution of the housing scheme.
He added that the government is also set to approve the required budget to mark the start of the project.
The state Director-General Press Affairs, Ismaila Uba Misilli, in a statement yesterday, added that thr housing scheme would include varied categories of affordable houses for low-income earners.
“The housing project will comprise one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom houses, respectively,” the statement partly read.
