A man simply identified as Niyi has killed himself after allegedly murdering his wife, Chioma Gloria, on Monday in their matrimonial home in Suleja, Niger State, WikkiTimes can report.
A source familiar with the incident told WikkiTimes the husband, after “killing” his wife in their residence near Stadium, took a sniper, an insecticide, in an attempt to commit suicide. He was rushed to Suleja General Hospital, but he later died, according to the source.
Prior to the incident, the couple had repeatedly clashed over extramarital accusations. Niyi, according to neighbours, always accused Gloria of cheating.

According to a local press in Suleja, neigbours noticed an unusual silence around the couple’s house on the day of the incident. After several knocks at their door, Chioma’s sister who came visiting peeked through the kitchen window and found Gloria’s lifeless body next to her husband’s with a sniper.
The deceased, a mother of one, was also said to have sustained bruises and injuries as a pillow was found atop her face.
The Niger State police spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun was not available for comment. He would not respond to calls. Also, a message sent to him has not been responded to at press time.
