N127.5m Dam Construction Project ‘Stalls’ in Kaduna

In 2022, the federal government allocated N127.5m for the construction of a small earth dam in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, but the project is yet to commence, according to Tracka, a not-for-profit accountability organisation tracking public projects across the country.

WikkiTimes traced the budget document where the project was coded as ERGP202200834 and tagged: Construction of Small Earth Dam at Sakadadi, in Saabon Gari LGA Kaduna State. The budget document showed that it is a new project allocated at the rate of N127,500,000.

According to the project’s signpost at Sakadadi, Sabon Gari LGA, Kaduna State, the dam construction was sponsored by Garba Datti Muhammad, a federal lawmaker who represented Sabon Gari constituency in the 9th National Assembly.
