N50 Million Hospital Project Abandons In Kogi

A N50 million healthcare facility project has been abandoned in Kogi State with its roofs peeling off amid inadequate medical equipment.

Tracka, a public project monitoring platform  reports that  N50m was budgeted in 2021 for the construction and furnishing of the primary health center situated at Geregu, Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.

WikkiTimes gathered that the project was to be carried out by the National Centre for Women Development.

However, the work is still yet to commence as the condition of the hospital keeps on deteriorating.

As seen in the pictures, patients are hospitalized despite the delapitating and scanty structure.

“The facility needs intervention as the building is deteriorating and there is no medical equipment for treatment.” Tracka stated.

Tracks called on the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHDA), the federal ministry of health as well as the Kogi state government to launch the implementation of the project.
