The zonal representative called on people of the state to come out during the championship and cheer the athletes in order to achieve more success in the competition.

Rasul used the forum to advise parents and other influential people in the north east to encourage youths to engage in sports for the betterment of the society.

While thanking the Bauchi State government for its support, Rasul added that officials from the NBF have been engaged to take appropriate records of participants and winners for future use.

On their parts, Weightlifting coach Isyaka Aliyu and that of Boxing Muhammad Taufiq commended the zonal representative for organising the trials, saying they will continue training to ensure the successful hosting of the two-day event.
