NBTE Praises ATAP, Inspects Manpower

The National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, has heaved praises on the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, ATAP over the successes achieved in terms of manpower and infrastructural development at the polytechnic.

Alhaji Hussaini Haruna, Northeast NBTE Coordinator stated this while on resource person inspection and accreditation visit to the polytechnic.

Albarka Radio reports that the NBTE has completed modalities to review its curriculum geared toward galvanizing technical related courses in both informal and formal sectors of the Nigerian economy.

He said that the Paradigm shift is expected to produce competent manpower needs of the nation’s industries so as Boost the non-oil sector of the economy through technical and vocational education.

The coordinator lead a team of NBTE officials round the polytechnic, expressed optimism that emphasis is now being shifted to technical education in the nation’s Polytechnics.

He lauded the giant stride of ATAP for meeting some of the accreditation requirements which according to him will pave the way for the realisation of the set objectives

Welcoming the NBTE team, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Saidu Alhaji Abubakar, outlined the courses due for accreditation, considering their importance to the growth and development of the institution.

Dr Saidu Abubakar Alhaji, who unveiled the Polytechnic resolve to prioritise technical and vocational training, noted with belief that all the courses being offered in the institution would be accredited by the NBTE.
